(1) This Policy is effective from 18 December 2020. (2) This Policy outlines hoe the University manages copyright obligations and protects copyright. (3) This Policy applies to students, staff and associates of the University. (4) The University is committed to ensuring that its rights as an owner of copright are appropriately protected and managed. (5) The University is committee to ensuring that the rights of copyright owners are not infringed. (6) The University will support members of the University to understand copyright, its obligations and responsibilities and how to protect copyright. (7) The University does not tolerate breach of copyright, including any use of its information and communications technology facilities, services and material that would breach copyright. (8) An allegation of breach of the University’s copyright legislative and regulatory obligations by a staff member or student will be reported according to the Compliance Management policy. Allegations of copyright breaches will be investigated and can lead to internal disciplinary proceedings. (9) The University, with the approval of the relevant Deputy Vice-Chancellor or nominee, can enter into agreements with respect to the University's copyright assets. (10) The Copyright procedure documents how to comply this Policy. (11) There are no definitions arising under this Policy.Copyright policy
