Summary of Changes from Previous Version

On 28 March 2024 amendments were made to the Academic Promotions Policy, Schedules A, B and C and the Academic Promotions Procedure to:
• replace the title Alfred Deakin Professor with Deakin Distinguished Professor in accordance with the Tanderrum process
• encompass revisions post the 2023 Academic Promotions cycle, including initiatives to improve the experience for applicants eg. The addition of unconscious bias training requirements for panel members, opportunity to respond to a previous unsuccessful application etc and clarifications.
• reflect changes to Schedule C Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants for promotion, which have been consulted and endorsed by Professor Mark Rose.
• update wording to reflect the current organisational structure and terminology and enhance clarity.
