Summary of Changes from Previous Version

On 30 September 2022, amendments were made to the Higher Degrees by Research Assessment procedure Schedule A: Thesis Examination Requirements for Specified Masters Degrees, specifically the requirements for:
- Master of Philosophy (School of Medicine)
- Master of Surgical Research (School of Medicine)
- Master of Research (Business)
were amended to: increase the number of examiners to three, comprising of two external examiners and a third examiner that may be internal or external to the University; remove the requirement of supervisor approval for thesis submission; clarify the process used by the Thesis Examination Committee in determining an examination outcome in these degrees.
Additional administrative amendments were made to: correct a typographical error in the Master of Philosophy (Electromaterials) and; to replace reference to the obsolete Schedule B: Restricted Access to Thesis with reference to clause 56 of the Procedure and update clause references in the Procedure.
