Summary of Changes from Previous Version

Deakin Hallmarks are micro‐credentials that recognise outstanding achievement of specific Deakin Graduate Learning Outcomes particularly valued in the workplace. They are associated with a specific course or major offered by Deakin and reflect the learning of students during their enrolment. Deakin Hallmarks are governed by the Deakin Micro‐credentials policy and the Deakin Hallmarks procedure. The proposed amendments to the Deakin Micro-credentials policy and Deakin Hallmarks procedure introduce a related group of micro‐credentials, University‐wide Hallmarks, which recognise outstanding achievement in other graduate outcomes identified in the University strategic agenda and approved by Academic Board. Deakin Hallmarks would be offered to all enrolled students. This initiative was developed following an internal review of course‐specific Hallmarks which noted student access was limited by slow parallel development across Deakin courses, and that some valued graduate capabilities were not captured by course‐specific Hallmarks.
