Summary of Changes from Previous Version

On 1 October 2020 the Higher Degrees by Research Academic Progress procedure was amended to: -make Respectful Behaviour training compulsory for HDR students. This aligns with requirements for coursework students. -Confirmation of candidature: require HDR Students to submit their Confirmation of Candidature documents to a text matching software; ensure all students are given the opportunity to undertake a second Confirmation of Candidature process provide clarity of the Confirmation of Candidature and Progress Support Panel(PSP) process and responsibilities. -Extension of candidature: In response to the Covid-19 impacts, and in consultation with the Department of Education, Skills and Employment, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research may grant an additional extension of 6 months in exceptional circumstances as defined by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research.
