Summary of Changes from Previous Version

On 22 February 2021 Academic Board approved amendments to the Research Data and Primary Materials Management procedure, including a change of title to Research Data Management procedure, to align the Procedure with the NHMRC Guide to Management of Data and Information in Research, University cybersecurity requirements, external legislation eg. Public Records Act, Health Records Act and Privacy Act, and to meet researcher needs.
The amendments address data management planning, custodianship, storage and transfer, preservation, safety and security, access, description, ownership, reuse and sharing, retention, destruction, and data used in collaborative research across institutions.
