On 15 March 2019 the Student Appeals procedure was amended as follows: - scope was amended to focus on appeals -Clause 7: inclusion of reference to the penalty of suspension or exclusion that may be applied according to the Student General Misconduct procedure -Clause 8: inclusion of additional documentation required from a student to commence an appeal -Clause 11: amended to provide the ability for the Deputy Chair or another member of the Committee to consider appeal documentation where the Chair has a conflict of interest – New clause 13: providing the Chair of UAC, in consultation with the University Solicitor, the ability to request that a Faculty withdraw its decision if a clear misapplication of procedure has occurred - Amended clause 24 and new clause 25: to improve clarity regarding UAC decisions - Clause 29: amended to prevent duplication of information - Clause 34: amended to resolve conflict between clause 42 of the Student General Misconduct procedure and Clause 33 of the Student Appeals procedure - Minor amendments to definitions and for clarity.Student Appeals procedure
