Summary of Changes from Previous Version

In December 2022, Deakin University revised its Integrity Framework including making the Integrity policy, Fraud and Corruption Prevention and Control procedure, Gifts and Hospitality Acceptance procedure and Declaration of Interest procedure and revoking the current: Integrity policy including Schedule A Integrity Framework; current Fraud and Corruption Prevention and Control policy and Fraud and Corruption Prevention and Control procedure (including Schedule A ~reas at Risk of Fraud and Corruption); current Gifts and Hospitality Acceptance policy; current Conflict of Interest procedure; and the Fraud and Corruption Prevention and Control policy.
Amendments were made to the Integrity policy to reflect the external environment that is imposed by the Victorian integrity framework and legislation. It now provides a reference point in the Deakin policies to the Victorian Ombudsman, IBAC, Victorian Information Commissioner, Office of the Victorian Auditor General and Public Records Office, and the standards imposed by these institutions that Deakin is required to meet, and allows Deakin to position our policy commitments in reference to these standards.
