Summary of Changes from Previous Version

In September 2022 in accordance with the Policy Framework, the Implementation Officer reviewed the Student Code of Conduct following one year of implementation. The review did not identify any amendments and consequently the next review must be undertaken within five years (01/09/2027).

The Student Code of Code was revised to: - align with the Code for Upholding Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom - bring to the fore a positive approach emphasising our Deakin values and expectations of high standards and to set out the personal behaviours and obligations of students as part of contributing to a thriving, progressive, respectful and inclusive University community - reflect Deakin’s commitment to students to underscore the reciprocal relationship and partnership between students and the University - improve accessibility.
