Summary of Changes from Previous Version

On 21 June 2022, amendments were made to the Recruitment of Staff procedure including changes to reflect the organisation structure and terminology following Deakin Reimagined and to reflect the current recruitment function including: - new requirement to liaise with Senior People and Culture Partner and ensure position aligns with principles of operating model and Deakin’s Job Framework (clause 8); additional review process where new position is created (clause 23); requirement to liaise with Senior People and Culture Partner before progressing with a direct appointment (clause 36); reference to position descriptions replaced with references to Deakin’s Job Framework; redundancy timeframe for re-employment also now includes any terms specified in redundancy notification letter (clause 124); removal of duplicated Vice-Chancellor reporting to Council (which is set out in clause 12of the Employment of Staff policy).
