Summary of Changes from Previous Version

This is the second version of the Workplace Bullying Policy published on the Deakin Policy Library. The revised Policy has been substantially recast and features greater clarity about the roles performed by HRD staff, such as for example better distinguishing between advisory and decision making roles and limiting the involvement of the Executive Director, HRD to where a report has been prepared by an investigator. This version of the Policy also streamlines administrative processes and strengthens links to the Code of Conduct, the Health, Wellbeing and Safety Policy and the Staff Discipline Policy in the handling of workplace bullying.

The Policy was amended on 7 March 2017 to clarify that it may be used by the University to respond to complaints raised by students about University staff and associates.

On 17 July 2018 an administrative amendment was made to delete the previous clause 2 which repeated the information set out in current clause 13.
