Summary of Changes from Previous Version

On 21 June 2022 amendments were made to the Employment of Staff policy to: - reflect the new organisational structure and terminology arising from Deakin Reimagined - streamline by moving relevant content from the Staff Development policy into the Employment of Staff policy and revoking the Staff Development policy - add a commitment to increasing the participation of women in senior academic roles (clause 6) - highlight that all appointments must support and enable the achievement of the University’s Strategy and Guiding Plans, align with the University’s Job Framework and optimise the staffing profiles of Faculties and Portfolios as part of their workforce planning (clause 7) - Highlight other relevant policies (Leaving Deakin, standards of conduct and performance and staff discipline and link to those policies) (clauses 22 to 24)
