Summary of Changes from Previous Version

This policy was established on the date of approval recorded in its preamble section. On 1 February 2016 policies and procedures were moved to the University's new Policy Library. For all intents and purposes the current version of this document is reflective of that published in the Guide prior to the new system launch. The document has been subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system and section headings.


This Policy was amended on 13 June 2017 to incorporate Schedule C: Principles for Assessing Achievement Relative to Opportunity in the Gender Equity in Research policy in clauses 7 and 10a.


On 12 May 2020 administrative amendments were made to the Policy to replace ‘structure’ with ‘eligibility criteria’ in Clause 8 and to include a link to the Performance Bonuses Professional Staff Guidelines.
