Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The review of course approval and review processes in 2015 focused on opportunities to adopt a more strategic approach to course management. The Procedure puts in place streamlined processes and articulates clear responsibilities to support this change, including

a) merging the two-step process for strategic approval of new courses (Course Concept Proposal and Business Plan) to a single stage (Strategic Course Proposal)

b) establishing and setting out clear responsibilities of Course Strategy Group in relation to approval of course proposals

c) setting out responsibilities of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education in relation to course approvals and reviews.
