Summary of Changes from Previous Version

On 21 June 2022 Deakin’s People and Culture policies were amended to align with the new organisational structure arising from Deakin Reimagined and to streamline policies. This process revoked the Staff Awards procedure, Staff Development policy, Reward and Recognition policy, DeakinAchieve – Performance and Development Program procedure. Relevant information from the revoked policies was moved into the Employment of Staff policy and the Performance, Development and Recognition procedure.

On 9 August 2021 an administrative amendment was made to the Procedure to replace the reference to Director, Corporate Finance with Taxation and Treasury Manager in clause 14.

On 15 October 2020 amendments were made to the Procedure to ensure that the process for reviewing service award eligibility is more efficient and to ensure staff are not being disadvantaged, as follows: • recognise service even if there has been a break in service or LWOP for more than 12 months, we will count the previous years’ service (removal of previous clauses 16b, 16c) • replacement of the lapel pin with digital badging to indicate an anniversary milestone (clause 17) • staff to be awarded Service Awards will be identified every 12 months (clause 17).
